It was another busy week for Dryden and Ignace Provincial Police.
OPP responded to 93 calls for service from Monday April 12 to Sunday April 18.
Police laid 23 charges under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code and responded to a variety of calls, including 17 traffic complaints, four vehicle crashes and four domestic incidents.
Officers note they have recently experienced an increase in 911 pocket dials.
If you do accidentally call 911, police ask that you stay on the line to speak with the emergency operator and explain that the call was a pocket dial or unintentional call.
Some tips from police to reduce the number of 911 pocket dials include carrying your phone in a holster or make sure that the keypad is locked.
