The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting eight new COVID-19 cases Saturday.
Three come from the Sioux Lookout district, while two each are from the Kenora region and Emo area.
There is also one from the Fort Frances Health Hub.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting four new positive tests today and two were related to travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.
There are now 56 active cases in that area.
Ontario recorded 4,362 new cases and 34 COVID related deaths.
The number of people in hospital because of the virus has increased by 110 to a new high of 2,065.
