The Northwestern Health Unit catchment area is back in double digit COVID figures.
Thirteen new positives were recorded Friday.
Once again Emo is the hotspot with five new cases.
Outbreaks have been declared at the Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program with two cases as well as Calvary Baptist Church.
The Sioux Lookout district is reporting four cases, two in Kenora, one in the Dryden area and one in the Rainy River Health Hub.
There are currently 61 active cases in the various Health Hubs: 32 Sioux Lookout, 16 Emo, 6 Dryden, 6 Kenora and 1 Rainy River.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has 57 active cases with eight new positives today.
Unfortunately, 2 COVID related deaths were reported.
Ontario broke a COVID record for the second day in a row with 4,812 cases.
The province reported 25 new deaths related to the virus.
