The Northwestern Health Unit says COVID vaccination rates are on par with the rest of the province.
More than 19,000 doses have been administered.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kit Young Hoon says 84% of those over the age of 80 have received at least their first shot.
She adds, “60% of people aged 70 to 79 in our region have received at least their first dose. Of those aged 18 years and older nearly 30% have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
