The Township of Ear Falls is testing their new emergency alert system today (Friday).
In the event of an emergency like evacuations, forest fires and boil water advisories, Ear Falls will now issue alerts through CodeRED.
Everyone in the Township who is currently in the emergency database will receive a test message today (Friday).
Receiving a test message verifies that you will get a message when an actual alert is issued by the municipality.
Residents who have not enrolled to receive emergency CodeRED notifications, or did not receive a test message should visit the Township’s website and click the CodeRED logo to enroll.
Those without Internet access may call the Township of Ear Falls to register over the phone.
You’ll be required to provide your first and last name, street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, province, postal code, and primary phone number, additional phone numbers and email addresses can be entered as well.
The Township encourages all individuals and businesses to sign up to receive future messages.
