The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 14 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.
Eight are from the Sioux Lookout health hub area, while six are in the Emo health hub area.
As is the procedure, follow-up is now underway with the cases as well as their close contacts. If you are a known close contact of a confirmed case, the NWHU says they will contact you directly.
The regional health authority’s latest data, which they say does not include data from April 13th, has 56 active cases across their catchment area.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports nine new cases and their active count is now 87.
However, the unit also reports a new COVID related death.
Provincially, there are 3,670 new cases for Tuesday, and 15 deaths.
