The Kenora District Services Board is assuring parents and families of their support through the province-wide stay-at-home order.
All KDSB child care and before and after school programs will remain open.
As for EarlyON programming, there will offer virtual services during this time.
The KDSB stresses they continue to follow public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to ensure that children, their families, and staff remain safe.
“By implementing and following the recommended health measures by Public Health, our child care programs can and will remain open and fully operational during the province-wide stay-at-home order. These are stressful and difficult times for families; we want families to know that we are doing everything we can to make sure that access to child care is not one of those stressors,” said Henry Wall, Chief Administrative Officer of the KDSB.
“We also extend our thanks to all the child care program operators for their commitment to ensuring families can continue to access programs across the District. This would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of the incredible individuals working in each of the child care centres.”
Outside of child care settings, the services board is asking families to follow directions given by Province and Public Health to help keep everyone safe.
