A grassroots effort is underway to bring organized Volleyball and Basketball programs to Sioux Lookout.
An online survey has been launched to see if there is community support and interest in order to move forward with the Ontario Volleyball Association.
The feedback will be key in whether or not the programs will run.
Organizers are trying to introduce certain programming including “Spikes on the Beach” and “Hoops and Spikes”.
This would allow children and youth to learn the basics of the two sports before they go to high school and start to compete.
It would also be open to secondary students as well.
If the interest is there, the organizing group will proceed and work with the Association on the logistics.
