A Blowing Snow Advisory is in place for the entire region.
Environment Canada very strong winds today gusting up to 70 kilometres an hour and brief bursts of locally heavy snow will result in blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility at times.
While snowfall accumulations are forecast to be minor, only 1 or 2 centimetres, local blowing snow will still occur at times in the heavier bursts of snow.
Conditions are expected to improve later this afternoon as winds ease and any precipitation slowly comes to an end.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
