The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is reporting a student who has tested positive for COVID-19 at Evergreen School.
The impacted classroom has been closed and the Northwestern Health Unit is in touch with known contacts to provide further instruction.
Families not contacted are deemed to be at no additional risk and can continue to attend school as usual.
Both organizations are working to make sure all potential risks are minimized.
All students and staff are asked to use the Government of Ontario’s Screening Tool daily before attending school.
There were two new COVID cases in the Kenora area yesterday along with four in the Sioux Lookout region and one in the Dryden Health Hub.
