After the short burst of warm weather we had on the weekend, it’s got me excited about the summer to come! ‘This year will be the year I finally crack down on my personal fitness. No more excuses!’ Yet I still struggle with keeping myself accountable. Why?
Honestly? I struggle with emotional eating, and I always have in some way. I’m definitely no stranger to those pandemic pounds! So imagine my surprise when I came across the Conquerors Virtual Fitness Challenge. Basically, it’s a real-life simulation of real world locations like the Inca Trail, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Great Ocean Road and even Canada’s own Cabot Trail!
Using their app, you can map out your progress by adding workouts (running, walking, cycling, etc) and at certain milestones, you’ll get these cool virtual postcards that will tell you more about the location/challenge you’re working on!
There is a small fee for each challenge, but considering the prize at the end – I think it’s worth it. Just look at those beautiful medals! They’re unique to each challenge and made out of metal.
I’ve actually signed up for the Inca Trail challenge, you know – so I don’t die! I’ll keep you posted on how I make out!
