The victim of a serious assault and robbery in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout has now died as a result of their injuries.
The victim has been identified as 37 year old Robyn Kakepetum of Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
26 year old Tyler Coollee of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been re-arrested and charged with second degree murder, in addition to the original charges of robbery aggravated assault.
On Thursday March 18 around 11:40 p.m., Sioux Lookout OPP responded to a home on Seventh Avenue where it was reported that two people were fighting outside.
Officers arrived to find a victim, who was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center for treatment.
The accused remains in custody and the Sioux Lookout OPP along with the OPP North West Region Crime Unit continue to investigate.
