A British Columbia man has been charged with stunt driving on Highway 17.
Provincial police tell us at around 6pm, Wednesday, they clocked a vehicle doing more than 170kms in the 90 zone west of Shabaqua.
The 32-year-old was given a 7 day license suspension, and the vehicle towed and impounded for 7 days.
Police add the first time you’re caught there’s also a fine of $2,000, but that can rise to $10,000, along with possibly six months in jail and 2-year license suspension.
Conviction accumulates six demerit points, which stay on your record for two years, and all convictions remain on the public record for three years.
