More chances for you to support the community and win big.
Patty Lyle with the Dryden Trillium Lions was a guest on the CKDR morning show today to talk about their new fundraiser ‘Catch The Ace, Progressive 50/50 Jackpot’.
Lyle explains when you buy a ticket, you’ll have the chance to win 20 percent of the money from that week’s ticket sales and if you catch the ace, your winnings go up to 50 percent
“Say your ticket number is drawn and you’re the weekly winner, then we open up the envelope number that you’ve picked between one and 52. You’re always trying to catch the ace of spades, so let’s say you picked envelope 16 and it has the ace of spades in it. You would also win the progressive jackpot, 30 percent of each weeks winnings. And each week the ace isn’t caught, the jackpot will continue to grow.”
The first draw is Monday March 22 at 7pm and tickets are $10.
“We’ll be doing it on Facebook live, so that people who want to tune in can or if people miss it and they want to go back and see whether the ace was caught or not, what card number was revealed, that will all be available.”
By purchasing a ticket, Lyle says you’ll support the Lions’ Medical Assistance Fund, Dog Guides of Ontario and other local causes like the Dryden Public Library, Special Olympics, Hoshizaki House, The Dryden Food Bank and various clubs.
To buy a ticket for the Monday draw, Interac-Email Money Transfer (EMT) $10, your phone number, address, email and ehe envelope number you wish to select to ‘catch the ace’ to lionscatchtheace@gmail.com.
