The Keewatin Patricia District School Board has been notified by the Northwestern Health Unit that three classrooms at Sioux Lookout Schools can re-open.
This follows an investigation into a student at Sioux Mountain Public School and a student at Sioux North High School testing positive for COVID-19, announced late Tuesday night by the board.
The classroom that was previously closed at Sioux Mountain and two classes at Sioux North will reopen Thursday.
It’s been determined by the health unit that there is no risk of exposure to students and staff at either school.
Families and staff in the classes that are reopening have been contacted by KPDSB to welcome them back to in-person learning Thursday.
