The Northwestern Health Unit confirms that there are six new cases of COVID-19 within their catchment area; two in the Sioux Lookout area and four in the Kenora region.
They say that contract tracing is now underway and that they will contact you directly if you are a close contact of a known case.
The total number of active cases within the NWHU region is now at 76 which is up from the 75 reported on Monday.
Also up is the number of resolved cases, which went from 504 on Monday to 509 on Tuesday.
Of the active cases, 46 are in the Kenora area, 23 in the Sioux Lookout region, four in and around Fort Frances, two in the Dryden area and one near Atikokan.
The test positivity rate is unfortunately also up on Tuesday from the day before and now sits at 0.76 per-cent.
When it comes to vaccine doses administered, the NWHU now says that 4,215 shots have gone into arms. That number is up from 3,866 on Monday, meaning that 349 doses were administered Monday.
As for the Thunder Bay District, there are 35 new cases of COVID-19 with 78 more people now considered resolved.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says there are now 403 active cases.
Five people are also no longer being treated at the Regional Hospital.
