Ontario is in the middle of the 3rd COVID-19 wave, according to the Ontario Hospital Association.
In a Tweet it says there are more people being admitted to hospital with COVID variants, which could strain hospitals.
It also points to the importance of paying attention to, and following along with health guidelines such as physical distancing, hygiene, and staying home when possible.
However, two other medical officials are weighing in with somewhat less direr warning.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says while the province is “at the base” of the 3rd wave, Dr. David Williams wants more data.
Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health feels it is too early to say 3rd wave, however, she says the numbers are still heading in the wrong direction.
