The Northwestern Health Unit has received 10 new reports of COVID-19 in the region.
There were six new positive tests results in the Kenora region and four new positive test results in the Sioux Lookout region.
There were 10 cases as well yesterday.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be notified directly.
Meanwhile there are 40 new cases of COVID-19 in the Thunder Bay District, with a total of 437 active infections.
One more person is now being treated at the regional health sciences centre.
Another 49 people are considered resolved.
Ontario’s seeing 1,747 new cases, which Health Minister Christine Elliott explains is higher than expected as they catch up on older data.
She says they don’t currently know how many of those cases are left over from previous days.
