The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Dryden Police Service are looking for answers after a deer was shot and killed in the City of Dryden.
The MNRF and DPS says that a deer pregnant with twin fawns was shot and killed in the Victoria Street/Whyte Avenue walking trail area.
Through an investigation, police and the MNRF have determined the deer was shot with a carbon arrow with a brass spike glued to the end of it.
Officials say the deer was then dragged through the wooded area and left to spoil 15 meters from the walking path.
The incident happened between February 18th and 23rd.
