Two schools in Kenora are reporting cases of COVID-19.
One student at Beaver Brae High School has tested positive and two classrooms have now been closed.
A positive case has also been recorded at St. Louis Living Arts School but no classrooms have been closed.
The two school boards are working with the Northwestern Health Unit to ensure all potential risks are minimized and known contacts of the cases are being called and given instructions by public health.
Anyone not contacted can go to school but you should use the Government of Ontario’s school screening tool COVID Screening Tool daily before heading to the classroom.
There were 16 new cases in the Kenora area over the weekend.
