Cold and dry.
That about sums up the weather in February in the Dryden area.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says the average temperature was -17.2, six degrees below normal.
That was the fourth coldest February since 2001.
The record low average temperature was -20.3 in 2015.
The cold day was on the 12th at -36.7, while the warm day was +5 on the 22nd
There were 10 days in a row with the low colder than -30 (from the 5th to the 14th) and a high colder than -18.
Laidlaw adds it was incredibly dry with a total of 1.3 millimetres recorded at the airport.
The CKDR Meteorologist notes, “We didn’t add to the snow pack at all, with the warm days we knocked it down.”
