New COVID-19 self-isolation rules for households to follow, especially if you have children who go to school or daycare.
Medical Officer of Health for the Northwestern Health Unit Dr. Kit Young Hoon says if any member of your household has but one symptom related to COVID-19, all household members are required to follow provincial quarantine procedures.
Everyone in the home is now required to stay at home.
This is an order for all persons residing in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
Dr. Young Hoon says individuals must remain in quarantine until a negative test comes back or for up to 14 days if no test is taken.
She says it’s part of new provincially mandated measures in light of the presence of variant strains in some parts of the province.
