The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting four new positive COVID-19 cases in the Kenora region.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be notified directly.
The health unit notes one case from the District of Rainy River region and one case from the Kenora region have been removed from the data set as they are no longer considered positive cases.
One reported case in the Sioux Lookout region earlier this week has now been assigned to a different health unit, as the person is currently staying/isolating in that health unit’s area and not ours.
Overall, the number of active cases has decreased to 79.
There are 73 cases in the Kenora area, three in the Sioux Lookout region and three in the Dryden/Red Lake area.
Meanwhile the Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 33 new positive cases and 315 active cases along with another new death today.
Ontario is reporting 1,138 new positive cases and 23 more deaths.
