There is now a timeline from the province for COVID-19 vaccinations.
The head of the government’s vaccine task force Rick Hillier explains it all begins next month.
Those who are 80 years of age and older will start getting the vaccine as of March 15th, then on April 15th it will be those 75 years and older, May first for people 70 years and older.
Those 65 and older will begin getting their vaccinations starting June 1st and for people 60 years and older it will be starting the first week of July.
The head of the vaccine task force did not provide specific information for those below age 60.
Hillier adds another goal is to have district health units in the province distributing 10,000 vaccines per day, but there would be exceptions for the smaller health units.
An online vaccine registration system will be in place starting March 15th so appointments can be made.
