The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting nine new positive COVID-19 tests Saturday.
Seven come from the Kenora region where the specific location isn’t being released by health officials.
Two other cases have been recorded in the Sioux Lookout area.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is recording another big jump in cases with 32 more people testing positive.
That brings the active case count in the district to 209.
It is also the first time the Thunder Bay District Health Unit has seen more than 30 cases for two days in a row.
COVID-19 cases are up across the province, with a total of over 1,228 confirmed Saturday morning.
Health Minister Christine Elliott emphasizes that a return to the provincial framework is not a return to normal and we still need to be careful.
