There are still a couple of days to provide input on the 2021 Federal Budget.
Feedback is being accepted until February 19.
Pre-budget hearings were recently held by Liberal MP’s and Thunder Bay representatives Marcus Powlowski and Patty Hajdu with about 60 people attending the virtual discussion.
Powlowski says everyone agreed that 2021 is going to be a challenging year.
“Unfortunately there’s still uncertainty and I think one of the things we’re going to have to realize is that this did very real harm to the economy in terms of businesses losing substantial amounts of income.”
Powlowski says they are asking people where they think the money should go and the priorities are forwarded to the Ministry of Finance.
The government has set up a website, LetsTalkBudget2021.ca, to collect your ideas.
