Thankfully there were no injuries in the first major fire of the year in the City of Dryden.
The Fire Service was called to the blaze on Kerney Hill Court around 4:29 Friday afternoon.
Crews arrived to find two homes and three vehicles on fire.
Firefighters battled the blaze, challenging conditions, and bone chilling temperatures into the -30’s.
They were able to save one home limiting damage to the exterior.
The other home and three vehicles were destroyed.
31 firefighters and 8 vehicles responded to the scene and quickly brought the fire under control.
The cause is still under investigation and the fire department is expected on scene this morning. (Saturday)
The blaze is not deemed suspicious.
