The Keewatin Patricia District School board has received notification of a student at Dryden High School that’s tested positive for COVID-19
At this time, the Northwestern Health Unit says they’ve determined there was no exposure to students or staff in the school and there are no classroom closures at this time or additional steps required.
The health unit will contact anyone who is identified as a close contact of any positive COVID-19 case and provide next steps.
The board says all students and staff should continue to use the Government of Ontario’s school screening tool daily before attending school.
KPDSB is also reminding families, should your child(ren) develop any symptom(s) consistent with COVID-19, you should not send them to school and should contact the local COVID-19 assessment centre to make arrangements for testing.
The COVID-19 Advisory can also be viewed on the KPDSB website.
