School bus service is cancelled across the region Thursday for a second straight day because of the extreme cold.
All schools remain open.
This is the third time this week buses have been grounded and fourth for students in Dryden/Vermilion Bay and Red Lake/Ear Falls.
Very few records are being recorded despite the persistent frigid weather.
One new mark was set Wednesday with Ear Falls reaching -37.3.
That was enough to beat the old record of -37.2 set back in 1968.
It will remain cold and windy for the next few days with the weather finally warming up a bit on Monday.
