An Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect across the region and that has resulted in the cancellation of school buses.
The Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium says buses won’t be running anywhere Wednesday.
All schools remain open.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says wind chills will be in the -45 range this morning, moderating to -30 this afternoon.
Laidlaw says we can expect a high of -22 today.
The low tonight is -33 with wind chills of -40.
Laidlaw says the bitter cold conditions are expected until Sunday but notes it won’t be as windy on the weekend.
