FIREFLY in Kenora-Rainy River is trying to raise its profile as youth and families continue to fight through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Clinical Manager Ashley Apland says they have a number of trained professionals on hand to help you during this difficult time.
“FIREFLY is a multi-disciplinary agency that offers a variety of programs such as Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Language Pathology.
Apland adds, “Specific to FIREFLY’s mental health. We’re offering virtual counselling right now via video or phone and we are also offering face-to-face where appropriate. FIREFLY started a virtual walk-in on Thursday. So that means you can call the intake number.”
Appointments will be booked from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
She says they also have a partnership with the Dryden Regional Mental Health and Addiction program where a Child and Youth Mental Health Outreach worker is available Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
You can call or text 216-0075.
Apland says anyone under the age of 18 can take advantage of their programs by calling their intake line at 1-833-696-5437.
