For the first time since Saturday, the Northwestern Health Unit is reporting new cases of COVID-19.
Three have been recorded in the Kenora region.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified will be notified directly.
There are currently 15 active cases in the region; Seven in Kenora region, four in Sioux Lookout region, three in Dryden/Red Lake and one in the District of Rainy River.
There have been 265 cases since the start of the pandemic with a test positivity rate of 0.43%
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 12 new cases Wednesday including four from the jail.
This brings the total active count to 139.
