The month of January was an amazing one in terms of the weather.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says it was the second warmest on record in the Dryden area.
He says the records go back to 1914.
Laidlaw says the average temperature was -10.7, 6.8 degrees above average.
Laidlaw says only 2006 was warmer at -9.3 degrees.
The warm day was +0.8 on the 4th while the cold day was -33.3 on January 28th.
Last month was also a dry one in our area.
Laidlaw says snow was low at 7 millimetres of total precipitation.
The CKDR Meteorologist says Ignace was more than double at 16.8 millimetres, which was still dry for January.
