A 32 year old woman has been charged in connection with stolen clothing from a Dryden business.
Last October a local Dryden clothing business was broken into and several “Canada Goose” parkas were stolen, but a Dryden Police Officers’ experience in hunting and trapping has led to the identification of stolen property.
On January 2, while preparing to transport a Dryden woman, the Officer noticed the parka the woman was wearing had a coyote fur trim on the hood.
The officer knew this brand of clothing uses real coyote fur on their garments.
Although the majority of the labels had been carefully removed, after further investigation, it was confirmed that the parka was in fact a “Canada Goose” jacket.
This lead to there being enough grounds to proceed with charges.
Kaila Blanchard is been charged with possession of stolen property and will attend court at a future date.
