Premier Doug Ford is sticking to his vaccination rollout plan for northwestern Ontario.
In an exclusive interview with CKDR News, Ford says he still believes the province can hit its February 5 target to complete Phase 1.
“Priority is to focus on long-term care, seniors, vulnerable seniors residents and elders in the first nations communities.”
Ford stated after that they will turn to high risk areas in Phase 2 of their plan.
Ford says first responders, teachers, and grocery store clerks would be included in that group.
He stresses “They have done an incredible job serving the people of Ontario in a real crisis.”
The premier took 6 minutes out of his busy Thursday schedule to speak with CKDR News.
He also addressed COVID-19 aid packages, the reopening of the economy, the Stay-at-Home order as well as the outbreak at the Thunder Bay jail and correctional centre.
