A provincial announcement of additional funding for community wellness programs is being cleared up.
It was broadcast earlier that the Community Service Enhancement and Community Wellbeing Initiative in Dryden would be getting $225,000 and the Red Lake CIRCLE situation table would be receiving $157,500.
The Dryden Police Service clarifies the funding for both initiatives was announced in 2019 as part of a three-year plan and the reported figures are for that entire period.
Work on both well-being strategies continue and are led by the Dryden Police Services Board and the Red Lake Police Services Board.
Both are working collaboratively with community groups, organizations and other partners.
