Everything is on schedule with the construction of the new Kenora District Services Board Administrative building at the old Central Hotel site.
Staff are expecting to move in late spring or early summer.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says the project has been a complete team effort.
“Just a sign of what is possible through the leadership of Mayor Wilson and Council and our board and the province in working together to be able to take a property in the downtown core of Dryden that had been condemned that really needed to be demolished.”
Wall adds “All of us working together to take the former Hotel and now have, quite frankly, a beautiful building that’s going to bring a lot of economic activity into the downtown core.”
He notes “Aside from KDSB’s 40 some full-time staff that are going to be working out of that location, there will be additional community services that will be located inside the building.”
Wall stresses the building will be something everyone in Dryden can be proud of.
