Ontario is smashing another record for the most COVID-19 cases in a single day.
The province is reporting 3,363 cases today, and 2,476 cases were reported yesterday. There was no update yesterday because of the New Year’s Day holiday.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is announcing seven new cases in Thunder Bay and the surrounding communities. Just one of those cases is from today, while the rest were diagnosed yesterday.
The number of active cases in that area continues to drop, with 17 resolved as of Friday. That brings the active case count to 58.
The Northwestern Health Unit reports it has 19 active cases.
