The Kenora District Services Board is set to bring back child care programming in Ear Falls.
Early Years programming will begin January 4th at the Government Building.
The KDSB’s Employment and Financial Services is being relocated into the building to create a community hub for families.
Program licensing is in the final stages and staff have been trained.
Additional staff will be recruited and will offer programming for school-age children for after school and non-instructional day, including summer.
Programming will start with 15 children.
The KDSB took over child care service from the Municipality earlier this year.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says “The KDSB is pleased to be able to offer increased capacity and services within Early Years programming to families and children in Ear Falls. Thank you to our KDSB Early Years team, who worked endlessly to ensure this initiative came together in a smooth, time-efficient manner.”
