A southern Ontario man is dead following a head on collision on Highway 11/17 northeast of Thunder Bay.
Provincial Police say a transport and a vehicle crashed around 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Municipality of Shuniah.
Police say 25 year old Mandeep Singh Sohi of Brampton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several people were transported to hospital with multiple injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.
The road reopened just after midnight.
The cause is under investigation, but OPP remind drivers to change their driving habits to meet drastic changes in weather.
That includes slowing down, adjusting distance between vehicles or choosing not to travel at all.
