Two more COVID-19 related deaths at the Southbridge Roseview long-term care home in Thunder bay.
The company’s website shows the death toll is now at 19, while for the region the Thunder Bay District health unit says there are now 21.
The health unit is also recording five new cases of COVID-19, all from the area.
Three got the virus from close contact with someone else, two are still pending results.
One person is in hospital.
There are no new cases reported Friday in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
Province wide, Ontario is reporting a record 3,328 new cases.
It marks the largest single-day increase in cases to date for the province, ahead of yesterday’s total of 2,923.
Fifty-six additional deaths were also announced, bringing the provincial death toll to 4,530.
