The federal government believes its has made unprecedented investments to help northern Ontario weather the COVID-19 storm.
Officials say FedNor, northern Ontario’s economic development program, has dished out more than $122-million this year.
They say the funding supported 294 initiatives led by local businesses, organizations and communities and supported more than 7,300 jobs in the north.
The focus for FedNor was preparing for the reopening of the economy and plan for future growth.
