An additional ten cases of COVID-19 have cropped up in the Thunder Bay district.
The Health Unit says six got the virus through close contact while they are still confirming the cause of the other four.
All are from within the Thunder Bay area.
This brings the district to 103 active cases. The Northwestern Health Unit reported two active cases as of Friday.
Looking at the province, it’s the sixth straight day with more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases, with over 2,300 testing positive by the end of day yesterday.
The province also confirmed 25 more deaths.
Around 3.5% of Ontario’s tests came back positive, while the most recent data shows around 13% positivity in Manitoba and a rate around 4.5% in Quebec.
Nationally, Canada has surpassed half a million COVID-19 cases.
