The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting a new positive case of COVID-19.
The latest comes from the Rainy River District.
Follow up with the person involved and their known contacts is underway and anyone identified will be notified directly.
The Health Unit doesn’t release specific information on tests results and officials stress everyone should assume the virus is in their community.
Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.
There have been 135 regional cases since the pandemic started.
Only five are considered active.
Ontario reported 1,940 new cases on Monday.
