Walmart employees across Canada have received an appreciation bonus.
Starting on December 11, the retail giant says every one of its full-time associates will receive an extra $250 while part-timers will get $150 each.
Walmart says its in appreciation of their continued dedication during the pandemic.
Walmart workers received similar bonuses in March and a raise in pay during the months of April and May.
President and Chief Executive Officer Horacio Barbeito says “Our associate have stepped up and led throughout this pandemic. In true Walmart spirit, they show up for work, ready to serve our customers and communities during these extraordinary times. Every day, I hear stories about our associates going above and beyond and I am proud and grateful. It continues to be a privilege and a tremendous responsibility to be providing an essential service for our communities.”
