Another eight people with COVID-19 are now self-isolating.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says most of them are from the Thunder Bay area and caught the virus through close contact.
They are still investigating how one person from another community in the district was infected.
We also now know the identity of the first Southbridge Roseview resident to die from COVID-19 as the long-term care home battles an outbreak.
The family of lifelong Thunder Bay resident retired Brigadier General John Litt announced today that he passed away on November 28th from the virus. He was 81 years old.
There are currently 117 active cases in the Thunder Bay district.
Ontario broke another record for the most confirmed cases in a single day, reporting 1,859 more people tested positive as of Saturday morning.
