Ford says overall a $115-million investment is being made to allow 850 patients with high, complex care needs to get care at home.

“We can provide them with up to 11 hours of care at home per day. We can provide them with nursing services, personal support services, Meals on Wheels, housekeeping, and transportation to medical appointments.

The plan calls for 484,000 nursing and therapy visits, and roughly 1.4 million personal support worker hours.

Ford says the goal is to “End hallway health care. To support our frontline heroes with the tools and resources they need. To build a system that puts the patient first.”
