The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting one new positive COVID-19 test result in the Kenora region.
Follow up with the person involved and their contacts has started.
Anyone who is identified as a contact for this case will be notified directly.
NWHU recommends that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practice preventive measures.
Currently there are 11 active cases across the region, with eight in the Kenora region, two in the Sioux Lookout region and one in the Dryden/Red Lake region.

The health unit also says one case previously listed for the Sioux Lookout region has been removed from NWHU’s COVID-19 statistics by the Ministry of Health because the case has been transferred to another health unit.
