The Ontario government is out with some guidelines to celebrate the holiday season.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says “We are urging all Ontarians, no matter where you live, to only celebrate in-person with the people you live with. If you live alone, join one other household to celebrate with.”
Elliott adds “To connect with family, friends and co-workers over the holidays, virtual celebrations are the safest option. Or consider exploring Ontario’s great outdoors where physical distancing can be maintained.”
She says people should not be holding big Christmas parties or host large family dinners.
Elliott says “Everyone has a part to play to stop the spread of this virus and to protect our loved ones and our community this holiday season. This includes making safe choices on how to celebrate.”
She urges people to wear a face covering, maintain two metres apart from others outside your household, wash your hands often and stay home if you’re not feeling well.”
