The COVID-19 case count continues to rise in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
A positive case has been confirmed at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Kenora.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board is working closely with the Health Unit to determine next steps and the one class has been closed.
All known contacts will be notified and given instructions.
Anyone not contacted can still go to school.
There were seven new cases reported by the Health Unit over the weekend and six were in the Kenora area.
One positive case comes from the Rainy River District.
